In this memorable tour, enjoy the most beautiful landscapes in the Alpine foothills. On the way towards Salzburg, we first pass the Chiemsee lake before turning onto the German Alpine route to Berchtesgaden.
Once in Berchtesgaden it's a steep climb to Obersalzberg, former location of Hitler's Berghof and today a NS documentation centre. Busses climb a narrow, almost 7 km long panoramic route up to the Kehlsteinhaus at over 1,800 metres above sea level. The historical building now houses a restaurant with a terrace offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding peaks and the deep valleys.
Then the journey continues to the idyllic lake Konigssee,
the most picturesque lake in Germany. The mountains form a unique
backdrop framing the 8 km long and almost 2,000 metres deep, clear lake,
with the impressive east face of the Watzmann mountain. Directly next to the beautiful little church of St. Bartholoma, relax in the restaurant's beer garden and enjoy the unique view.
